Inside Kyle Sandilands’ wedding guest list: Who’s Who of politics and media to attend nuptials : NEWSFINALE

Every major player in Australian media and politics is set to attend Kyle Sandilands’ wedding to Tegan Kynaston on Saturday – including the Prime Minister.

The exclusive guest list, shared with Daily Mail Australia on Thursday, includes the likes Today host Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine; Kings Cross nightclub identity John Ibrahim and his model girlfriend Sarah Budge; and Guy and Jules Sebastian.

The PM Anthony Albanese is set to DJ at the reception, with his partner Jodie Haydon as a plus-one, and NSW Labor Premier Chris Minns will also be in attendance with his wife Anna.

Other guests include colourful former paparazzo-turned-Geelong mayor Darryn Lyons; boxer Jeff Fenech and his wife Suzee; Beau and Kara Ryan; and, of course, Sandilands’ long-time radio co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, who is bringing her 12-year-old daughter Kitty along.

The musical guests will include Sebastian, Samantha Jade and Conrad Sewell. 

The total cost of the ceremony is rumoured to be in excess of $1million, and the couple have locked in the stunning heritage-listed home Swifts for the occasion.

The late-Victorian Gothic Revival mansion, in Darling Point, has hosted a number of prestigious events for Sydney’s elite over the years.

Sydney socialite Nadia Fairfax married financier Michael Wayne there in 2021.

Owned by Shane and Penelope Moran of the Moran Health Care Group family, the $60million home was constructed between 1876 and 1883 and boasts 56 rooms, stunning grounds and harbourside views.

The home was originally built by beer baron Sir Robert Lucas Lucas-Tooth in 1882 and was owned by the Roman Catholic Church, who ‘whitewashed’ the façade of the building.

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show earlier this week, Sandilands revealed the exorbitant amount of money he had spent on his impending nuptials. 

He has splashed out an estimated $1million on the wedding, which is his second after marrying Tamara Jaber in 2010 (they divorced two years later).

During Monday’s Kyle And Jackie O Show, the radio titan and his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson challenged listeners to guess the cost of specific elements of Kyle’s wedding in a game called ‘Higher or Lower’.

‘You know where I made the mistake? When I first met the wedding planner and the wedding stylist… they were like, “OK, what budget are we dealing with?” and I said, “There is no budget”,’ Sandilands said at the start of the segment.

Among the most expensive features was the floral arrangements, which cost a whopping $150K.

Henderson, who spent just $80K on her wedding to ex-husband Lee, was stunned by the price tag, asking Sandilands: ‘150 grand for something that’s just going to die a few days later?’

‘Well everyone’s allowed to take flowers home and stuff,’ Sandilands shrugged.

Tegan’s wedding dress cost less than $50K, while the suits for the bridal party and page boys cost higher than $15K.

The entertainment, which includes renting multiple stages, audio equipment and sound trucks, meanwhile cost higher than $100K.

Sandilands also hired several instrumentalists, saying: ‘There’s saxophone guys, there’s string quartets. It’s a big thing.’

Sandilands clarified that he’d actually saved money on the artist fees, as his pop star friends Guy Sebastian, Conrad Sewell and Samantha Jade had agreed to perform for free.

The wedding stylist’s fee was lower than $250K, while the food – including an oyster bar and caviar – cost less than $75K.

Sandilands revealed he’d spent less than $120K on security detail, including 15 private guards and members of the NSW and Federal police force.

The videographer and photographer’s combined cost was lower than $80K, while the wedding invitations cost less than $15K.

Sandilands also said his wedding cake, which he described as a ‘five tier monster’, cost more than $8K.

A live organ player also set the couple back $3,000.

However, there was one detail that Sandilands managed to snag for free – the couple’s wedding bands.

Sandilands confirmed that celebrity jeweller House of K’Dor had gifted the rings for free as a thanks for being a long-time customer.

Kyle popped the question to his partner Tegan in January last year while on holiday in Port Douglas.

The pair welcomed son Otto in August last year. 

Tegan is director of communications for Kyle’s company King Kyle Pty Ltd.

The couple went public with their romance on New Year’s Eve in 2019, when Tegan shared a picture of herself kissing Kyle in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Two months earlier, she had denied rumours she was dating the KIIS FM presenter.

Kyle began dating his then personal assistant Tegan following his split from his long-term girlfriend Imogen Anthony.

The radio titan announced his shock split from his girlfriend-of-eight-years on The Kyle and Jackie O Show in November 2019.

He told listeners the couple ‘haven’t been living with each other’ for months and their relationship had simply ‘run its course’.

‘We haven’t been with each other for quite a few months now. Unfortunately it’s run its course,’ he said.
