Hard Time For Trump: Controversial Judge Will Decide If Donald Trump Is Banned From Election

According to Trending Politics, the judge overseeing the legal proceedings involving former President Trump’s charges related to his efforts to contest the 2020 presidential election has a family history linked to Marxist revolutionary activities in Jamaica.

Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, appointed by President Obama, is the granddaughter of Frank Hill, a communist revolutionary in Jamaica during WWII. Chutkan’s family history has recently come to light through a report by the New York Post.

Frank Hill, along with his brother Ken, was briefly imprisoned by the British governor of Jamaica due to suspicions of “subversive activities.”

The Hill brothers were expelled from the People’s National Party of Jamaica due to their communist beliefs. Ken Hill was described as pragmatic and influenced by his observations of global events.

Judge Chutkan, who has faced allegations of political bias from conservatives, has drawn attention for her handling of cases, including those related to the January 6 Capitol riot.

She has expressed the view that the riot was an attempt to overthrow the government rather than a protest by unarmed extremists. Her statements and decisions have led to accusations of partisan bias, particularly as she supported Black Lives Matter protests in 2020 and made comments about President Trump’s status during a sentencing hearing in 2022.

Despite criticism, Chutkan has maintained authority over the January 6 cases, including those involving alleged attempts to overturn the election. This situation has raised concerns about potential bias influencing the legal proceedings. Chutkan’s family background and her previous statements continue to fuel debates about her objectivity in handling politically charged cases, especially given her pivotal role in matters related to the presidential election and its aftermath.

KEN WAS DESCRIBED AS “MORE PRAGMATIC AND LESS CONCERNED WITH POLITICAL THEORY” BY RICHARD HART IN HIS 1999 BOOK, “TOWARDS DECOLONISATION: POLITICAL, LABOUR AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENTS IN JAMAICA 1938–1945.”

“KEN HILL, BY FAR THE MOST INFLUENTIAL, WAS MORE PRAGMATIC AND LESS CONCERNED WITH POLITICAL THEORY THAN MOST MEMBERS OF THE LEFT. HE PROBABLY BEGAN TO CONSIDER HIMSELF A COMMUNIST BOTH AS A RESULT OF THE INFLUENCE OF HIS BROTHER FRANK AND ALSO HIS OBSERVATION OF THE COURSE OF WORLD EVENTS,” HART WROTE OF THE BROTHERS.
